Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Automotive Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work in a professional environment with a great work-life balance, offering a Monday to Friday day shift and a competitive salary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Perform repairs on engines, brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, clutches and transmissions.
- Complete MOT preparation work and carry out repairs as required.
- Replace and repair vehicle components to manufacturer standards.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify any additional work required.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Complete job cards and service records accurately.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Vehicle Technician.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- MOT Tester qualification is advantageous but not essential.
