Bodybuilder/Fitter – West Bromwich

We are currently looking for an experienced Bodybuilder/Fitter to join an established workshop team in West Bromwich.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Thursday, offering a regular long weekend every week.

The Role

You will be responsible for building, fitting, repairing and modifying commercial vehicle bodies and associated components.

Duties will include:

• Building and fitting commercial vehicle bodies
• Repairing and modifying vehicle bodies and components
• Installing panels, flooring, tail lifts and associated equipment
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Using hand and power tools to complete work to a high standard
• Carrying out inspections and ensuring work meets required quality and safety standards
• Working closely with the wider workshop team to complete projects efficiently

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Bodybuilder/Fitter, or within a similar role
• Mechanical experience is essential
• Electrical knowledge would be an advantage
• Confident using a range of hand and power tools
• Able to work from drawings and technical specifications
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
• Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
