The Role

As an Extrusion Setter, you’ll be responsible for setting, running and optimising crosshead extrusion lines, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

You’ll play a key role in keeping production moving by setting machines, carrying out changeovers, troubleshooting issues and ensuring products meet customer specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating crosshead extrusion machinery
• Preparing machines for production runs and product changeovers
• Monitoring production to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
• Carrying out quality checks throughout production
• Troubleshooting machine and process issues
• Supporting production output and packing where required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

✅ What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with hands-on extrusion setting experience, not just machine operating.

Essential experience:

✔ Crosshead or Co-Extrusion
✔ Wire coating, hose or pipe extrusion
✔ Setting and running complete extrusion production lines
✔ Strong knowledge of materials including:

• PVC
• Polyurethane
• Megalon
• Nylon

Please note: Candidates with blown film extrusion experience only will not be suitable for this position.

Shift Options

Permanent Days

• Monday to Thursday
• 6:00am – 6:00pm or 7:00am – 7:00pm
• 48 hours per week
• Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday off

Rotating Shifts

• 39 hours per week

Weeks 1 & 2

• Monday–Wednesday: 6:00am–6:00pm
• Thursday: 6:00am–12:00pm

Weeks 3 & 4

• Monday–Wednesday: 6:00pm–6:00am

Shift Allowance:

• 22% Rotating Shifts
• 25% Permanent Nights
