Heat Treatment Operative
£14.24 per hour (including rolled-up holiday pay)
We are seeking a dedicated Heat Treatment Operative to join our specialist manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to build a long-term career in engineering and manufacturing. Full training will be provided, with an anticipated training period of 3 to 6 months. Upon successful completion, there will be opportunities for pay progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate heat treatment furnaces safely and efficiently
- Load and unload components with care and precision
- Monitor furnace operations and production processes to ensure quality standards
- Maintain accurate production records using computer systems
- Utilise Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams to record and share information
- Clean components prior to heat treatment using specialised equipment and procedures
- Comply with all quality, health and safety, and operational guidelines
Candidate Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures accurately
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
- Reliable, self-motivated and keen to learn
- Previous experience in manufacturing or engineering is advantageous but not essential
Training & Development
We provide a comprehensive training programme covering all aspects of the role. Training is expected to take approximately 3 to 6 months. Once fully trained, operatives will be expected to work independently and manage their daily tasks.
