Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Beater / Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy manufacturing team in Pershore. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience in vehicle body panel repair, sheet metal forming, and precision assembly.
Working as part of a highly skilled production team, you will be responsible for repairing, shaping, fabricating and fitting vehicle body panels to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, fabricate and fit aluminium and steel vehicle body panels.
- Shape, form and finish sheet metal components using hand and power tools.
- Carry out panel alignment, preparation and assembly work.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Use hammers, dollies, shrinkers, stretchers, rollers and other specialist sheet metal equipment.
- Repair dents, reshape damaged panels and restore bodywork to original specifications.
- Ensure all work meets strict quality standards and manufacturing tolerances.
- Carry out inspections throughout the build process.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet production schedules.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Panel Beater, Coachbuilder or Sheet Metal Worker.
- Experience working with aluminium and steel body panels.
- Ability to fabricate, repair and finish vehicle bodywork to a high standard.
- Confident using a wide range of hand tools and sheet metal machinery.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within the automotive, coachbuilding, classic vehicle or low-volume manufacturing sectors.
- Experience working on bespoke or hand-built vehicles.
- Understanding of quality inspection procedures.
